Beware, Princess Elizabeth: Carolyn Meyer
So I finished the first chapter of this book. It had ended with Elizabeth and her sister, from another mother but same father, had begun to avoid each other. Elizabeth made the mistake of asking Mary what was wrong. The problem was she had been teased by her father, before he had passed away, that she was twenty seven and still a virgin. Elizabeth had followed Mary as she had left to go somewhere. She ended up on a grassy bank and had fallen to the ground in tears. She finally noticed she wasn't alone and Elizabeth had come up behind her and stood over her. Mary had asked in a irritated voice, "Yes?", "What is it Elizabeth?" Mary had been upset from the fact that she is still not married and doesn't have a child. She also had said that it was a terrible thing not to be in love. I would not want to be in Mary's situation knowing I'm almost thirty and aren't even married yet. I would probably be thinking about a child by then.
